Access Monash Champions
Access Monash Champions is a personal development and leadership program for Year 9 and 10 students from our partner schools. Students work in small groups to develop and deliver a community-based project with support from our Access Monash Mentors.
Encouraging global citizenship
Being at university is about more than just studying for a degree – it’s an amazing opportunity for students to expand their world view and become engaged in global citizenship. Monash students are encouraged
to think globally while acting locally through volunteering and community action.
Preparing for community action
Access Monash Champions is designed to prepare students to become active community leaders. This unique program allows students to design and deliver a project that will make a real difference in their
community. We want to encourage them to stand up for a cause they believe in, while developing the entrepreneurial, teamwork, project management and communication skills needed to excel in their future
studies and work.
Students who participate in Access Monash Champions are encouraged to become an Access Monash mentee once they reach Year 11.
