Experiential Learning from Effective Legal Practice in social justice settings: What has an impact and integrating it into Clinical and Professional Legal Training

Liz Curran has been conducting a range of empirical studies into effective legal practice and impact the learning from this research has informed teaching and curriculum. This paper will draw on this empirical research and this interactive session will explore ways in teaching in experiential and clinical programs that can be integrated into students awakening as to the importance of quality and justice in service delivery and the importance of developing skills like interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills, so necessary to client care. The presenter will invite participants to undertake a task based on a teaching activity she has used.
