Developing the lawyer of the future-the vital role for clinical legal education

Through innovative clinical courses, as well as a strong focus on human skills development, legal educators must respond to the call for law graduates to be prepared for the new age of legal technology, automation and AI.

This presentation will explore the North Queensland experience, which has seen a clinical program expanded significantly across two cities with multiple service providers. It will provide an overview of our active research project regarding graduates and assess how the program is addressing the need to human skills development for the lawyer of the future and a sustained connection to pro bono in graduates.
