Supporting our students to do social justice in difficult times

Many students come to law school expressing a desire to work towards social justice. Being a member of the legal profession already entails a commitment to serving the public and the law, which is necessarily related to social justice work. Our responsibility, then, is to nurture and encourage students to pursue that dream and responsibility. We will discuss how to support students practically and psychically as they prepare to spend their careers fighting for equal access to justice in what are often difficult times.  It is critical that students understand that what they do matters and that their law schools support them.
