Your offer of admission will contain your International Student Course Agreement (ISCA). You must return your completed ISCA to Monash Graduate Research, so that we can create your eCoE so that you can apply for your student visa.
If you are an already enrolled research student, you are required to complete the scholarship banking details form to start receiving your scholarship payments. If you are also enrolled on a part-time basis and your scholarship has not been awarded for part-time study, you will also need to convert to full-time before your payments can commence.
If you are yet to commence your degree, you are required to enrol and take up your award by the preferred commencement date/s set by your faculty.
Please note however, that the earliest a scholarship can be taken up is 1 January (for end-of-year-round applications) and 1 August (for mid-year-round applications) of the year for which an offer is made.
If employment commitments, or circumstances beyond your control, prevent you from taking up a scholarship by these dates, you may be allowed to defer the commencement of your course/scholarship. The latest a scholarship can be deferred to is 30 June (end-of-year-round awardees) or 31 December (mid-year-round awardees).
Additional information on faculty preferred commencement date/s and the change of commencement form is available from the how to accept page.
Recipients who relocate their place of residence to Victoria from interstate or from overseas to take up their stipend may be eligible for an establishment/relocation allowance as specified on the University Graduate Research Scholarships website.
Scholarship payments are made on a fortnightly basis. You can download a list of dates here.
To ensure the Monash Graduate Research Office is able to suspend or resume your stipend payments in time for the relevant pay period, any relevant forms need to submitted to our office no later than 10am on the Thursday preceding each pay day.
The stipend rate for centrally-allocated scholarships increase from 1 January each year. The stipend update is usually processed in late January each year. Stipend rates are listed here. Queries regarding conditions for all other scholarships need to be directed to the relevant academic unit/faculty or donor body that has awarded the scholarship.
Payment summaries for scholarships are only issued to part-time awardees only at the end of every financial year.
Should you require a payment summary to be issued again, you will need to contact Monash HR on email@example.com, stating your full name, date of birth, student ID, home address, reasons why another payment summary is required and the year it is required for.
If, as a student you are also a staff member, and require a payment summary as a staff member, you will also need to provide your employee/staff number.
Please note that full-time scholarship awardees are not issued payment summaries.
