EAE Distinguished Lecturer 2020

UPDATE, MARCH 16TH, 2020: AS A RESULT OF THE NEW TRAVEL PROTOCOLS IMPLEMENTED BY THE AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT,
THIS SEMINAR HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
We are pleased to announce that the EAE Distinguished Lecturer for 2020 will be Prof Tamsin Mather from Oxford University. Prof Mather is a vulcanologist interested in how volcanic processes produce natural hazards, and how volcanoes provide unique windows into Earth’s geological history.
Prof Mather will be visiting EAE between the 23rd of March and the 5th of April, 2020. As part of her visit, she will give a public lecture entitled Volcanoes: From Fuming Vents to Extinction Events, co-hosted with  The Royal Society of Victoria, as well as a number of seminars within the school (see our events calendar below for more details).
