Inclusive workplace
We are leading the way in promoting workplace inclusion. We respect and value the diversity of our staff – who are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, culturally and linguistically diverse, of all genders, who are of diverse gender identities, sexes and sexualities, who have a disability, ongoing medical or mental health condition and who are parents or carers.

Gender Equity
Gender equity has been central to our strategy for more than three decades. Areas of focus include gender-balanced leadership, women in STEMM, pay equity goals and workplace flexibility.

Indigenous Australians
We are committed to fostering a society that respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and knowledges, and works towards addressing the legacies of the past.

LGBTIQ Staff
We recognise and celebrate the rich diversity of our community at Monash, including our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ) staff.

Staff with Disability
We recognise that disability is an aspect of human diversity and have policies and services in place to empower staff with a disability to succeed.

Parents and Carers
We support parents and carers through generous paid parental leave, workplace flexibility, parenting rooms, on-site childcare centres and other support structures.

External recognition
We continue to be recognised nationally for our leadership in gender equity, LGBTIQ inclusion and fostering diversity through our inclusive workplace culture.
