Released in conjunction with World Homeless Day, and in partnership with the Castan Centre for Human Rights Law, Building a Better Future: Housing and Homelessness showcases key research by Monash experts from across disciplines. The collection examines housing and homelessness from multiple perspectives and acknowledges the central role that secure housing plays in the well-being and dignity of all people, and provide salient advice for policy makers charged with building a better future.

Better Governance and Policy advances the design and practice of governance and policy in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. We draw upon research strengths from all faculties and disciplines to support local and global government, and policy development.

About
Better Governance and Policy facilitates the output of highly relevant, research-based contributions to discussions of contemporary issues in policy and governance and enables increased knowledge exchange and policy engagement locally, nationally, and internationally.

These collections present a deep-dive into key policy issues facing Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. Sharing their policy insights, experts from across the university come together to offer their unique perspectives on addressing policy challenges. These collections are evidence-informed, policy-oriented, and future focussed.

Policy In Focus
Policy In Focus presents Monash University researchers’ expert opinions on current policy issues facing Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. These insights respond to policy challenges as they arise, providing evidence-informed opinion when it is needed most.

AI for Better Governance

The Melbourne Experiment
The Melbourne Experiment is a landmark interdisciplinary research collaboration to study the effects of the COVID-19 restrictions on key activities and elements of the urban environment before, during and after the COVID-19 shutdown.
