Environmental DNA Laboratory
The facilities in this lab enable research into environmental DNA, enabling us to extract and amplify DNA from a range of samples including seawater, sediments, lava flows and rocks and vegetation for tracing sediment movement and provenance and mineral processes, for understanding environmental change through time and for profiling diversity of vertebrates, plants and microbes.
