Mineral Separation Facility
The Mineral Separation Laboratory and Crushing Laboratory provide facilities for the preparation, separation and concentration of minerals by their physical properties via the use of heavy liquids (density) and magnets (magnetic susceptibility).
The Crushing Laboratory houses equipment such as jaw crushers, sieve shakers and mills for the preparation of whole rock powders for XRD & XRF (analyses sent offsite). This facility accepts collaborative and contractual work.
