The School of Physics and Astronomy offers world-leading postgraduate programs that can lead to a Master's by research (MPhil) or doctorate (PhD) in a wide variety of specialist research areas. You can enroll in one of these programs through Monash Graduate Research Office (MGE).

- The second step is to seek an "Invitation to Apply" from whichever School is most relevant to the area of research you wish to pursue. Postgraduate study in the School of Physics & Astronomy
As part of obtaining an "Invitation to Apply" from the School, you will need to choose an appropriate research project and find a suitable research supervisor for this project - see Research Projects.
Students are allocated two supervisors to guide their research, and their progress is monitored by a panel made up of the two supervisors, the Postgraduate Coordinator and two academics that are independent.
